Biography

Dr. Khairulina is a Senior Assistant Principal Director at Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia. Her main portfolio is focused on improving the public hospital quality services through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Patient Safety. She graduated as a medical doctor from National University of Malaysia in 2007 and obtained her masters in Healthcare Administration from University of Nagoya, Japan in 2021 after receiving the Young Leaders Scholarship Awards from the Japan government. She had experienced as anesthetist for about 5 years in hospitals before joining the MoH Malaysia as a policy maker. As a healthcare administrator and policy maker, she plays a major role in improving the awareness of patient safety among the healthcare staff and the public. She had contributed to various policies and guidelines regarding patient safety nationally. She was also often invited to speak and share her knowledge about patient safety and KPI throughout the country.
