Title: The exciting journey of pharmaceuticals. A vital responsibility of health providers.

Abstract

The health industry worldwide is number four in global pollution. There are many reasons for these: plastic of one single use, toxic, electronic, food, water waste or internal process are the principal causes. The pharmaceutical products contribute in their hole life-cycle to pollute air, soil and water. In this webinar we will be talking how the pharmaceutical industry pollutes, what happens at the hospital (and home) with pharmaceutical waste, how each person that takes a pharmaceutical product also produces waste and the most important thing what we can do to reduce it. As health providers we have a responsibility in pharmaceutical waste management.
